About

Madison Olson
My work consists of metalsmithing mostly. I use forming techniques and different patinas that make my work reach the quality and aesthetic look that I strive for.
I create vessels and sculptures that have a lot to do with my upbringing in a Pagan household. My mom reads tarot cards and does full moon rituals and more of that nature. Nature is a big part of being Pagan, you connect with the ground and the sky and I like my work to influence that idea. I want people to sense that organic, grounded care that I put into my work, while also being able to use these objects everyday.
I make these metal pieces to continue to learn new techniques and to create something that is everlasting. Metal works are the pieces that will still be around after everyone is gone and I want to be a part of that permanence.
